David: A red blend from Andalucia Spain. 45% Monastrell, 25% Tempranillo, and the rest syrah, garnacha, merlot, and cabernet sauvignon. Crimson tending toward purple. Medium depth of color. Fantastic nose has black cherry, red currant, smoke, spice box, coffee and vanilla. Nice black fruit on the palate, decent acidity. Gets spicy quickly. Medium tannins. Nice structure and balance. Ends on dark fruit notes, some bitterness and a little heat. Pretty nice and a good value.
