David: Beautiful dark purple brown. Rich nose of black currant, prunes, vanilla, a little smoke and menthol. Full bodied. Smooth and silky on the palate. Medium acidity. Delicious, opulent dark fruit with chocolate and with some lovely spiciness. Good structure and depth if not overly complex. Mellow but very tasty. A little liquorish on the finish.
